No sign-in and no account. Analytics, session replay and ads are described below.
This policy covers the Puzzle Throne Android app (com.puzzlethrone.puzzle_throne) from version 1.1.0 onward. It is a catalogue of puzzle mini-games that ship inside the app and are played entirely on your device.
The app does not require sign-in or account creation, and it no longer loads the Puzzle Throne website. The website is a separate product with its own accounts and features — if you use it in a browser, the Puzzle Throne website policy applies there, not this one.
The games themselves need no internet connection. The app does use the internet for the analytics, session replay and advertising described below.
Puzzle Throne saves gameplay-only information locally, in app preferences and WebView local storage:
This stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. There is no cloud save, so it cannot be recovered or moved to another device.
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which games people play and where they get stuck. It collects:
The app does not ask for or send your name, email address or any account identity, because it has no sign-in.
The app uses Microsoft Clarity to record how the game screens are used, so we can find confusing or broken layouts. Clarity captures:
Text you type into input boxes is masked by Clarity and is not uploaded. The game screens contain no personal information.
Microsoft acts as an independent data controller for Clarity data rather than only as our processor, so this is a sharing of data with Microsoft. Microsoft's handling is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement and the Clarity terms of use. You can opt out of Clarity telemetry by selecting Microsoft at optout.aboutads.info.
The app shows a full-screen Google AdMob app-open ad when you launch it and when you return to it. To serve and measure those ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google:
Google uses this for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can limit ad personalisation in your Android settings under Privacy → Ads.
The app sends a daily reminder notification to suggest coming back to a puzzle. These reminders are composed and scheduled entirely on your device — they collect nothing, send nothing, and need no internet connection. On Android 13 and later the app asks for notification permission, and you can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Puzzle Throne does not ask for or receive your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, payment information or login credentials. It has no sign-in, so there is no account, no profile and no user-generated content stored on our servers. It does not create or publish games, and it does not send anything to an AI provider.
Puzzle Throne requests:
The games are served to the app's WebView by a small server that runs inside the app and is reachable only from your own device. That traffic never touches a network.
Gameplay progress lives only on your device; uninstalling the app deletes it. Analytics, session-replay and advertising data are retained by Google and Microsoft under their own retention schedules.
Because the app has no sign-in, the data it sends is not tied to your identity and we have no way to look up one player's records, so we cannot action an individual deletion request. You can, however, reset or delete your advertising identifier in your Android settings, and opt out of Clarity using the link above. If you have a question about your data, contact puzzlethrone@gmail.com.
Puzzle Throne is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have received personal information from a child, contact us at puzzlethrone@gmail.com and we will review the request.
